Search and Collect

For this project, we were to implement a game using C++ and DirectX 11. after working in pairs to design the core aspects of the game, we were to provide the implementation (using this design), individually. In the game, the Player controls a hover-tank, with the objective of collecting 20 Energy Capsules (which they must find), whilst knocking barrels aside, navigating around obstacles (boulders) and avoiding the black coloured Enemy hover-tank, that, if they ram the Player’s hover-tank enough times, will destroy them, causing the Player to lose the game. This project proved difficult, as I had to learn DirectX11 from the beginning, before implementing the features for this game.
